Valerio Rizzo, Ph.D., currently works as Photogrammetry expert and 3D generalist at Realities.io where he recreates pieces of world in virtual reality.
He is also a freelance neuroscientist and contract professor at Palermo University, Department of Biomedicine and Clinic Neuroscience (Bio.Ne.C.) with 10 years of track record in brain research made between Italy and USA.
He is also freelance Scientific Illustrator and Autodesk Certified Instructor, collaborator and active participant in beta-test programs mantaining a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Autodesk. From 2014 to 2017 he has been involved in Autodesk Remake (formerly known as Memento) learning content development as well as testing and research for medical use cases.
His main interest is to explore the potential of VR in neuroscience research, psychotherapy and psychodiagnostic. He founded 3DTAM (3D Technology Applied in Medicine) a non profit organization interested into brain adaptation to new devices and putative applications of 3D technology for biomedical use cases. He owns the blog “Illustratio Scientiae” where he promotes old and contemporary medical and scientific artworks.

Explore places that were out of reach before – Realities brings the real world into VR, fully explorable, interactive & with stunning photo-realism. Too many amazing places are too far away, too expensive to get to, closed off to the general public or too dangerous to visit. We want to enable everybody to explore those places and discover their stories. A place is more than 3D geometry – Realities combines a unique mix of photorealistic environments, spatial audio, interactive elements, narration, video and holograms for a new way of non-linear, spatial storytelling.
This is only the beginning – our goal is to enable a wide spectrum of diverse creators to bring real places in VR and tell their stories on Realities! Collaborating with visionary content creators we are constantly pushing the limits of what is possible on Realities, shaping a new way of discovering the real world in VR.
